A robust healthcare system is very much important for any
nation. Without an organized and high-quality healthcare system, a country
can’t thrive. Therefore, with a vision to provide a stable and unique
healthcare program to the people of India, PM Narendra Modi had launched
Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana a couple of months ago. The main objective of
launching such a giant system is to help the vulnerable households in getting
rid of the enormous upfront cost of hospitalization. As per the Pradhan Mantri
Jan Aarogya Yojana, also known as Ayushman Bharat Scheme
, people belonging to the unprivileged section of society will be benefited. Within
just a couple of months after its launch, this scheme has already gained huge
popularity and people are continuously searching for ayushman bharat
registration.
However, this healthcare program doesn’t have any
registration process. Only the vulnerable households under the deprivation
criteria listed in the SECC database can avail this scheme. The mammoth
healthcare program is believed to cover almost 10 crore families. A medication
expense of rupees 10 lakhs will be provided to every family per year. Moreover,
the scheme covers the entire pre-and-post hospitalization cost of a person or
family. A person can check whether they are eligible to avail this insurance
scheme or not by visiting the official website of PMJAY. In order to check your
eligibility, follow these steps:
1. Visit
mera.pmjay.gov.in
2. Enter your
mobile number along with the verification text and click on ‘Generate OTP’.
3. An OTP will
be sent to your mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on ‘Submit’.
4. You’ll be
redirected to a page where you’ll have to select your state and the category by
which you want to check your record. Select your desired choice.
5. You’ll see
your name on the right side of the screen should you be found eligible.
If
you don’t find your name in the record, then you can’t get the benefits of this
scheme. On the other hand, a person who is eligible to avail this scheme can
directly visit an impaneled public or private hospital for treatment. Help
desks have been set up in every hospital for helping the beneficiary at the
time of service. The identification of the beneficiary will be done by the
‘Aarogya Mitras’ who have been trained for carrying out the task efficiently.
The beneficiary can proceed for treatment once the verification is done.
